TRYOUT SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 15th (WEATHER PERMITTING)

13/14 YR OLDS - FIELD #1 @ 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, SATURDAY, MARCH 15th

11/12 YR OLDS - FIELD #2 @ 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, SATURDAY, MARCH 15th

9/10 YR OLDS - FIELD #3 @ 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, SATURDAY, MARCH 15th

7/8 YR OLDS - DO NOT NEED TO TRYOUT

ALL TRYOUTS AT OREM CITY CENTER PARK. PLEASE WEAR CLEATS AND BASEBALL GLOVE. DRESS WARM AND BRING WATER.

If your child is registered in our rookie program (7-8 yr old on 4/30/2025) they will not have a tryout and will be placed on teams. You should hear from a coach by April 1st. Games will start on April 8th and end June 20th.

There will be tryout for the kids 9-14 yr old (as of 4/30/2025) on March 15th weather permitting. Not all kids will need to tryout. Here are the guidelines...

-If you are a new player or didn't play last year with OYB 9-14 yr olds you will need to tryout.
-If you are moving up an age division you will need to tryout (ex. moving from the 9-10 to the 11-12).
-If you are a returning player staying in the same age group you will be placed on that team and will not need to tryout.
-All players whether returning or new will be placed on teams after the tryouts.

Once the tryouts and drafts have taken place the kids will be put on teams and you will be contacted by a coach. In our 9-10 and our 11-12 divisions the kids will be placed on teams of up to 24 kids and hold practices where the coaches will determine a split into two teams of up to 12 one being competitive and one being instructional. Our goal as a league is to have your child on the team that will be best for his/her experience, advancement and enjoyment of the season. All Player should be contacted by coaches by April 1st. Games start April 8th and end June 20th.

*All players will be placed on team regardless of their attendance at the tryouts. The main purpose of the tryout is to split the teams as fair as possible. If you are unable to attend tryouts you do not need to reach out to us and will be placed on a team.
